Terms of Service
These terms govern use of CompReader. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.
Effective July 16, 2026
The service
CompReader provides parent-managed, AI-assisted reading practice, including child profiles, generated stories, quizzes, progress tracking, safety tools, stickers, achievements, rewards, and optional parent reading recaps. Features may change as the service improves.
Parent responsibility
You must be legally able to enter these terms and are responsible for your family account. You represent that you are the parent or legal guardian of each child profile you create, or are otherwise authorized to provide the required consent. Keep parent credentials private and supervise children's use of the service.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse CompReader, attempt to bypass safety or plan limits, probe or disrupt the service, access another family's information, submit unlawful content, reverse engineer protected parts of the service, or use automated means that place unreasonable load on the product.
AI-generated content
Stories and quizzes are generated with automated systems and may occasionally contain mistakes. CompReader applies input and output safety checks, but parents should review concerns and use the in-product flagging tools. The service is supplemental reading practice, not a school assessment, tutoring guarantee, or professional educational advice.
Plans and billing
The Free plan includes the monthly story allowance shown on the pricing page. The Family plan is billed monthly through Stripe and renews automatically until canceled. You can manage or cancel the subscription in the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Fees already charged are non-refundable except where required by law.
Plan prices, taxes, and allowances may change prospectively. Material changes will be presented before they apply to a future billing period.
Ownership
CompReader and its software, design, and branding belong to Skaler Labs and its licensors. You may use generated stories and family progress information for personal, non-commercial family or educational use. Do not resell the service or present CompReader branding as your own.
Availability and termination
The service may be interrupted for maintenance, security, provider outages, or other operational needs. CompReader may suspend access for material misuse or risk to users or the service. You may stop using CompReader at any time and request account deletion at privacy@compreader.com.
Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, CompReader is provided “as is” without warranties of uninterrupted operation or specific learning outcomes. Skaler Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so those limitations may not apply to you.
Changes and contact
Updated terms will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms where permitted by law. Questions can be sent to support@compreader.com.
